"Parking" a domain with a PPC service is simple and straightforward by
either pointing
(forwarding) the domain name or changing the domain name server settings to

that's a loaded question. The answer in part lies in the domain name itself. If
the name consists of one or two common words that people are likely to search
for and it has a popular extension such as .com or .net, you should get natural
type-ins.
If the domain was a previous website and there are residual links, you will
most likely benefit from that traffic as well; and so it is possible to recoup
your domain name purchase investment very quickly and continue to accumulate earnings
while you are waiting for a sale or until it is time to renew.
Per-click rates are highly dependent on the keywords and vary widely from a
few cents to several dollars each. In addition, rates also vary between PPC
providers. Sometimes it pays to switch around until you find the site that gives
the highest return. So the ultimate key to success is to own strong keyword
domains.
